Annual report with financial statements

Most companies are required to submit their annual report within six months after the end of the financial year. Annual reports for the 2024 financial year will be available by mid-2025.

The contents of an annual report depend on the company’s accounting classification (A: B; C or D):

Class A: Sole proprietorships and partnerships. Companies are exempt from submitting an annual report.

Class B: Small companies (balance ≤ 44M DKK, revenue ≤ 89M DKK, employees ≤ 50).

The annual report includes:

  • Management statement
  • Management report
  • Income statement
  • Balance sheet
  • Notes (including accounting policies)
  • Audit report (if applicable)

Class C: Medium and large companies (exceed Class B limits but not publicly listed).

In addition to Class B requirements, the annual report must also include:

  • Summary of key figures and ratios
  • Statement of equity
  • Cash flow statement

Class D: Publicly listed companies, large financial institutions, and state-owned enterprises.

Includes all Class C requirements, where the management statement is replaced by a management endorsement.

If a company is in a group structure, the same information may be available for the parent company.
